So recently I read a sci-fi short story and it far surpasses anything I've ever read in weirdness. It began with a simple scene in which a group of guys were riding in a car towards... something. The biggest man is bawling which is weird. Eventually they reach a stopping place and search for... guess what... genetically modified kittens.
Apparently in the future people are addicted to kittens who are made to be cuter than ever. This mammoth of a man is crying because he doesn't have his kitten and these guys are driving to go pick another one up from a vending machine. I don't even know what to think anymore.

And I thought I was a weird person. Dang. May I ask the title of this book? How is it other than that?
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting. I really want to know the name of that short story so I can go check it out for myself. Is it really that weird, wow. I would like to read about these very interesting kittens.
ReplyDeleteI would love to live in that world...It sounds really interesting and full of kittens. Where did you find that short story?
ReplyDeleteHey Jacob, I have a question. Is there like a choice of red kittens or black kittens in the vending machine? And also, what happens when the kittens....drop? Like, you pick a Black Kitten and when you press enter, how do the kittens get out of the vending machine?
ReplyDeleteThat's funny - reminds me of the SNL laser cat sketches. What were the kittens genetically modified to do?
